By all appearances, Sharifa looks more like she should be hanging around the downtown slums of a grungy city. All boobs and hips and legs, Sharifa stands at an impressive 6'1" and has no problem walking around in leopard print shirts and form-fitting black pants when off the clock. That is, providing that it's at least ninety degrees out. Otherwise, Sharifa's bundled up in long, thick jackets and scarves; despite being away from Egypt for so many years, her tolerance to cold is still as low as ever.
While her body may be striking underneath all those layers of clothing, her face leans more toward cute. Her jawline is a soft curve and her eyes, a warm shade of brown, are often open and wide with almost childish curiosity. Her hair, normally kept up in a bun during work, is black in color and runs down to her lower back, curled at the ends for unknown reasons. She's fond of the age-old habit of smoking as well, so a long thin pipe can often be found hanging from her fingers.

Saying Sharifa's "cat-like" would be putting it simply; Sharifa's much more like that fat cat that likes to lie on the porch in the sun all day and sit on the fences of wildly barking dogs to mock them. Prone to lounging in chairs and draping lazily on the nearest object or person, Sharifa's so mellow about life and teaching that she borderlines catatonic. She's quick to go with the flow when necessary and very flexible when it comes to, well, almost anything. All with a lazily content smile on her face. That's not to say she doesn't have some slight cat-like habits; she's fond of lightly teasing and baiting others and has that very bad habit of staring almost soulessly at people at times. It's hard to imagine a woman like this getting worked up over anything.
But the truth of the matter is that after standing at the sides of great pharaohs and men, Sharifa has grown quite attracted to people with power, whether magical or simply influential through money or action. In fact, when in the presence of a man or woman with power, Sharifa's personality becomes that of a purring, possessive, and almost wild cat who wants nothing more than their complete attention. While she's served as bodyguard or wife to some of the people she's been attracted to in the past, Sharifa is very much content to simply bask in the aura of a powerful person.When Sharifa, or rather Bastet, came into existence in Asgard is a very large number to calculate, but one can say for certain that she's been in the human realm since the time of the Ancient Egyptians. The lifestyle of the Ancient Egyptians and the sheer power they showed attracted numerous spirits like her to the land, but very few had any actual influence on them. Her mark on history is apparent, but what most historians don't know is that from the moment Bastet was first seen in the human world, she began integrating herself into it. Forming pacts with men and women in influential positions in Egypt, Bastet kept her own presence little known while enjoying the power alongside the great. With each new pact she formed, she took a step closer to materializing on her own.
It wasn't until 300 BC and the invasion of foreign powers into Egypt that Bastet began to toy with the idea of leaving Egypt. Though she hadn't developed enough power to materialize on her own yet, the prospect of stronger power, different power, appealed to her very core of being and tempted her. In the end, the temptation and promise of new lands was just too great for the woman and she began forming pacts with the intention of leaving the country.
The pacts she made over this time kept her mostly in Europe and Northern Africa, though she made frequent returns to Egypt simply for the familiarity of the magic there. It was over this journey that Bastet finally drew up enough power in herself to assume a materialized form on her own. She adopted the name Sharifa Ashraf and made pacts less frequently, becoming much more picky about her choices as she searched for people with power. Though Europe was certainly a land thrumming with magic, Sharifa had little success in finding areas heavy with spirits and magical power like the pyramid lands of Egypt had been. Disatisfied, but far from discouraged, Sharifa made to return to Egypt.
It was by sheer luck that she passed by member of the Order on her way back. Seizing the opportunity, one of the few she'd ever had, she presented herself as a spirit. In exchange for the knowledge, influence, and whatever other purposes she could serve, she requested to be taken back to their headquarters, hoping that this, finally, would be a place outside of Egypt that could satisfy her tastes.
Countshire did just that. Under supervision from the Order, Sharifa took up a teaching position at the university and lay her services open to the heads of the Order, finding satisfaction in the amount of talent and power passing through the University. On occassion, she would form pacts with those with the most potential as a Potential, but in respect to the Order's position, Sharifa would always put in the pact term of never leaving Countshire. To this day she remains at the university, content with her position in life but with an eye open to any greater opportunities that may pass by.

When in a pact, the power Sharifa gives to her partnered human is Influential Scent. By stroking a patch of their own skin, Sharifa's partnered human releases a perfume in the air that, when inhaled, incites one of five emotions (anger, fear, joy, worry, grief) in the person who inhaled it. Due to the growth of Sharifa's powers over the ages, the scent can spread over a mile-wide radius at most or affect one person in a crowd of dozens. The partnered human is the only one completely immune to the scents, but preventing the inhaling of the perfumes is as easy as holding your breath.
