Adèle is of average frame, standing at 1m70, with long brown hair and dark blue eyes. She's pretty, but not remarkably so, and isn't particularly outstanding in the curves department. She's basically someone you would definitely not call ugly, but she doesn't exactly stand out in a crowd, either. Well, not looks-wise, at least - she has a very... erm, particular sense of fashion, normally wearing a long lab coat over muted colors and simple clothes, and a pair of sunglasses with red lenses. If asked about it she'll just say she doesn't like getting dust on her clothes, and her eyes can be sensitive to sunlight, hence the sunglasses. As for their color, well, standard sunglasses are boring.

His PB is Ema Skye from the Gyakuten Saiban game series.

Personality

Adèle is normally a fairly friendly, if a bit spacey and somewhat arrogant person. She gets easily excited when the subjects of CG animation or gaming come up, and can go on for hours on end about the things she likes. She has a very strong visual memory, and is easily distracted by well-constructed and detailed compositions, which could refer to anything from an elaborate work of art to a particularly interesting tree. It's not uncommon to catch her staring at seemingly random things for hours on end, and then running off to render them in her computer. In other words, she's... a little weird.

She's also extremely curious, and tends to pursue her topics of interest without caring much whether she's being nosy or inconvenient. Adèle is not against sneaking into places if it means satiating her curiosity, which is something that has gotten her in trouble in the past a few times.

Also, she has a horrible temper, and while there isn't a whole lot that gets her going, things tend to get ugly when she does. She's not one for physical violence, but she can and will throw things around, and if it hits you, well, WHY WERE YOU IN THE WAY ANYWAY?

Anyway, that's the person most people know! And then there is Adèle when the subject is that foppish idiot.

One, you don't bring up the topic of Laurent if you don't want to sit there for hours being forced to listen to her complain about how horrible and annoying and fruity and foppish he is. Two, you run away when something reminds her of him, because chances are you'll be forced to sit there for hours all the same. Three, if you ARE him, then everything she says is meant only to get on your case, prove you wrong, tell you to shut up or call you names. In the most childish way possible.

Background

Born the eldest of a pair of fraternal twins to a family of small businessmen in Lyon, France, Adèle's childhood should have been plenty normal. Her parents often had to travel around Europe on business, and that would have been the most eventful of facts about it, considering she and her siblings (which consisted of her fraternal twin sister, and three older brothers) were constantly moving from school to school. Would have been, if not for the fact that wherever she went, every time she switched schools, she encountered... him.

He was the most annoying person in the history of ever. Not only was he a pain to deal with, he also seemed to like the exact same things that she did, and get the exact same marks, and sign up for the exact same activities, and, of course, he somehow was always in her class, even if she switched schools every other week. It started - well, she doesn't remember how it started. Probably as toddlers in kindergarten, since she can't really remember a moment of peace in her early life (peace here meaning "not having la princesse around"). And so it went, all the way until they graduated from High School.

At that point, the two finally went separate ways - she to a university in Japan, which had offered her a generous scholarship, and he to wherever God had the mercy of taking him. Finally, no more annoying fop. No more teachers pulling them aside to know who copied whose answers (of COURSE she hadn't copied his answers! Like she would need HIS answers, hmph), no more being blinded by the fifty pieces of jewelry he never got tired of wearing, no more people pulling on her hair... the very depiction of heaven, truly.

During her stay in Japan, she studied and graduated in Computer Animation, something she (and he, ugh) had been fond of since the very first computer-rendered 3d models popped up. Japan was, indeed, heaven - a country that invested so heavily in everything she liked (actually just animation and games, in this case), and better yet, a country 100% free of Jean-Laurent! She couldn't ask for anything more.

She stayed there an extra year taking extracurricular courses, mostly focusing on game design, and working on a few personal projects in the field, before deciding to take her master's degree elsewhere. She applied for several prestigious universities worldwide with an available program on either computer animation or game design, and eventually settled for Countshire in England, not only because of the new and even more generous scholarship she was offered, but also because it was England, and he was certain to not go to England, the arrogant fop that he was.

Other

Her potential comes from her keen visual abilities. Not only is she prone to noticing details that most don't, she can also visualize things she's seen before very clearly in her head, and has created entire 3D models from only memory before.

She and Laurent are, if you haven't noticed yet, rivals, though she will never admit that she sees him as such (because there is no WAY someone as stupid as him would be on HER level). Also, while they often exchange insults and she likes to throw things at him (mostly pillows), their fights never seem to go beyond childish level, nor have they ever physically injured one another. In other words, they just bicker like an old married couple and fight like a pair of children, and make everyone around them go "I'll... just... go over there.".

And don't you ever try to even so much as imply that they're a couple. You don't want to do that. At all.

She has a fiancé by the name of Guy Blanc who is currently in France and they've arranged to be married by the end of the year.

Adèle is irrationally afraid of unsteady footing, and being lifted off the ground. If she can't stand firmly, she'll cling to the nearest steady object and possibly start shaking slightly.

The "weakness to sunlight" excuse for her strange sunglasses isn't a lie. Her eyes have a chronic sensitivity to strong light, and will easily tear up and sting if exposed to it, often leading to temporary blindness. For this reason she is never seen outdoors without the sunglasses, and has a strong aversion to driving at night, when car lanterns are on and sunglasses aren't an option.

She's pacted to the spirit Psyche, which grants her the power to induce and manipulate thoughts on other people. This ability can be used in a variety of ways - as a means to cause confusion, as an indirect form of telepathy, as a way to force people to do something... and so forth. It can be used on any person or group of people within a 100-meter radius. She doesn't have to see them to be able to use it, but she needs to have a clear picture of the person in her mind - and since her potential is keen visual memory, this is precisely why she was picked.

This power works on spirits and other beings as well, though if they're irrational (i.e. dogs or demons) its usefulness is limited only to causing temporary confusion.

Using the power for prolonged periods of time grants her fabulous headaches. :Db
